The Economic Literacy Component seeks
to achieve the following results:
Result 1: Capacity building
The Capacity of women and development organisations
on economic literacy and gender and economics has increased,
new knowledge on this topic has been generated and integrated
into economic literacy training modules.
Result 2: Community of Practice
Through the project, a pool of local trainers and
resource persons on economic-literacy is created and
supported to become a regional Community of Practice.
The CoP is involved in training, capacity building,
working with women and documenting and disseminating
learning and experience.
Result 3: Networking
CRTD’s supports local partners in developing
effective economic literacy programmes for women and
in developing awareness raising activities on gender
and the economy.
Result 4: Information and communication
The project produces and disseminates various forms
of communication and publication material in simple
language aiming at increasing knowledge on gender and
the economy.
