POSITION: Gender Project Officer

 

CRTD.A is seeking to recruit a Gender Project Officer with the overall responsibility of contributing to CRTD.A’s existing and future gender and development programmes initiatives in Lebanon and the MACMAG region.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Follow-up on CRTD.A’s Lebanon and regional programmes on gender and development particularly in areas related to citizenship, trade and leadership
  • Contribute to the development of a secondary research, resources and knowledge on gender and development
  • Review and monitor existing literature, studies and initiatives related to gender and development in the region
  • Coordinate and organise a regional and local events
  • Contribute to the development of country and regional gender updates
  • Ensure that reporting on work undertaken is timely and of high quality
  • Participate in related activities and events
  • Work as part of the CRTD.A team

Needed Skills

  • University degree in social sciences or equivalent
  • Knowledge and familiarity with gender and development issues, language and resources
  • Strong command of English and Arabic
  • Excellent writing skills in English and Arabic
  • French is a plus
  • At least 3 years of experience in gender work within the context of NGOs or related organisational setting
  • Research experience and analytical skills
  • Good understanding of social development with demonstrable commitment to gender equality and social justice

§         The position is offered on 12 months Full-Time basis with possibility of renewal.
