Financial Controller Terms of Reference
AFDC is looking for a financial controller to work in its offices in Beirut. Under the supervision of the AFDC Director, the selected applicant is expected to handle different accounting and financial tasks related to different programs and activities currently implemented by AFDC. In particular, the selected applicant is expected to be responsible for the implementation of the following tasks:
Ø Periodic and annual financial reports of the organization;
Ø Preparation and follow up of periodic financial documents to be submitted to the Ministries if Interior and Finance and the Social Security;
Ø Handle management of spending and work on the different projects’ budget lines within the financial structure of the organization;
Ø Handle and be responsible for the financial registry;
Ø Help preparing the annual financial plan of the organization;
Ø Implementation of other tasks as requested by management.
Qualifications
The selected applicant is expected to have the following qualifications:
Ø University degree in finance or accounting;
Ø Minimum of 3 years of experience working with similar size institutions;
Ø Preferable experience working with NGO accounting setups;
Ø Experience working under the Lebanese laws related to accounting and social security issues;
Ø Ability to work independently and as a team member
Ø Proved English and Arabic language proficiency.
