NAVTSS since it was clear the need for such activities.

Job description:
The position of the project coordinator is part of the
middle management of the local organization. The EU
project of Save the Children Sweden targets through
regular capacity building activities the middle
management. Through regular and active attendance of
monthly workshops and on the job training within the
organization the PC should become a reliable support for
the director for planning, monitoring and administration
of the projects.
Besides these
capacity building activities and the project coordinator’s
active involvement in this trainee program, the PC will be
in charge of coordination the service provision
activities of the NGO. Besides planning, monitoring
and administration of the projects the PC should
coordinate the activities. The requirements of the service
provision activities will be used to train the PC.
Responsibilities (service
provision):

Assist the
director in daily duties related to the project,
-
Plan, supervise
and follow up of the project developments with the project
team,
-
Preparation of
reports, and other project related documents.

Regular and
active participation in the capacity building activities,
Qualifications and skills
-
Academic
background or equivalent experience or skills,
-
Interest in
development issues,
-
General
potentials to conduct and prepare fundraising efforts,
project planning and development tasks,
-
Good writing
skills in English, and to be able to write project
documents,
-
Advanced
computer skills or the will and the potentials to develop
these within the project (knowledge in EXCEL, Word, e-mail
programs)
-
Dynamic,
innovative, and willing to take and lead initiatives,
-
Ability to
evolve within a time frame.

Ability and
willingness to work in a team.
-
Good
communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Plan & cope
with his/her own workload
-
Living or be
aware of the live and work with NGOs in the camps,
-
Willing to
commit him/herself for three years,
Commencement:
Immediately after selection
Contract period:
At least three years, three months trial period
