Lebanon Development Gateway Public Communication

The Beirut Based NGO Collective for Research & Training on Development – Action (CRTD – A) is accepting applications for a limited number of volunteer / internship positions.

CRTD – A is a regional NGO based in Lebanon and dedicated to social development and gender equality in Lebanon and the Middle East region. Through CRTD - A projects and activities, we provide a platform for research, debate, analysis, training, capacity building and institutional development on issues of social development, women and gender in Lebanon and the Middle East. Our aim is to strengthen regional solidarity and collaboration for the purpose of achieving sustainable development and gender equality in the Arab Region

CRTD is seeking dynamic Volunteers / Interns to undertake innovative work in the area of social development and gender development in Lebanon and the Middle East.

Depending on strengths and interests of the volunteer/intern, areas of contribution may include:

  • Gender-based research design and implementation
  • Analysis and Compilation of research data
  • Advocacy Campaigns for Gender Rights
  • Training and capacity building

For one or more of the project areas:

  • Gender, Economy and Trade
  • Gender and Citizenship
  • Gender, Youth and Leadership
  • Gender and Information and Communication Technologies
  • Gender-Based Violence in the Arab region
  • NGOs, CSOs, Social Development and Gender Equality

Successful applicants will have:

  • Interest in women, gender and development in the context of Lebanon and the Middle East
  • Ability to work well independently and in team settings with a focus on results
  • Interest and ability in working in an intercultural / international setting
  • Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities and deadlines
  • Fluency in one or more of French, English, Arabic
  • Initiative, creativity, and innovative ideas for development, gender equality and social change
