The
MACMAG GLIP Steering Committee
The overall purpose of the MACMAG Steering
Committee is to ensure that MACMAG GLIP is fulfilling its
set mission and mandate as well as its agreed obligations
vis-à-vis its stakeholders, particularly donors and ensure
that the project is managed properly and efficiently. The
MACMAG Glip Steering Committee provides support and back up
to the project in carrying out its tasks and activities.
The basic roles and responsibilities of the MACMAG GLIP Steering
Committee include:
1. Study and approve the project's plans, proposals and budgets
as submitted by the project coordinator.
2. Participate in management decision particularly in matters
related to hiring and firing in addition to other personnel
matters.
3. Review the project's monthly financial and progress reports.
4. Provide assistance in fundraising, linking and communications
for the project.
The
MACMAG GLIP Steering Committee currently consists of five
members, meeting regularly on a monthly basis, and chairing
meetings on a rotation basis. All decisions are taken by a
majority vote within the Steering Committee. |
