Sisters
Arabic Forum (SAF)
- The Sisters Arabic Forum (SAF)-Yemen has been selected to
represent the Human Rights and International Law Group in
Yemen, a Washington based NGO. SAF will be soon embarking
on an extensive research on female prisons.

SAF is a member of the National NGOs Network to follow-up
Beijing Plus Five with UNIFEM. Also, it is currently engaged
with OXFAM in a programme on Violence Against Women in which
SAF will tackle the Legal Framework and Conduct capacity building
and training sessions.

In view of the constitutional amendment exercise taken place
in Yemen, SAF has prepared a draft amendment to the current
constitution of Yemen from a gender perspective- a think tank
that was created to handle this very sensitive matter. The
draft was sent to many concerned parties including the parliament,
the National Committee on Human Rights, Political Parties,
etc...

Moreover, SAF has been elected with other four NGOs to redraft
the NGOs Law under discussion in the parliament.
